Assistant Controller (Leading Investment Manager)

The client are one of the worlds leading investment managers and have one the best reputations in the industry. They have a significant AuM focusing on a variety of strategies private equity and liquid hedge fund strategies.

They have multiple global offices (including Philadelphia) and they offer excellent progression opportunities either in Philadelphia or internationally.

Reporting directly to the Senior Controller you will have a broad role focusing on the complex management company structure globally. They operate a outsourced model so the third party admin do the heavy lifting with your oversight. An example of other responsibilities include:

• Preparation and documentation of month-end / quarter-end close process for global management companies and other corporate entities

• Assist with annual budget and quarterly reforecast process, including flux analysis, attribution reporting, data visualization for presentation to the Firm’ Executive Management Committee

• Involved with corporate liquidity forecasting, processing investment deployment activities and related analysis.

• Assist with new entity / office location launches and onboarding processes.

• Design, implement and monitor process improvements, including workflow reengineering and automation projects, to streamlines processes and increase department efficiency.

The role will suit somebody with 2-4 years experience in either public or private accounting who has a keen interest in the investment management industry and wants to work with bright people in a dynamic environment.
