Job Description

Assistant Controller

The Assistant Controller will be responsible for working closely with the Plant Controller with the Financial Management of Plant, financial management of day to day operations, co-ordination of business planning, and the review and reporting of monthly results.

Responsibilities

  • Send monthly financial files to corporate plant locations
  • Sign checks, reviews supporting documentation for completeness & audit for accuracy.
  • Review & approve all monthly journal vouchers before posting.
  • Review financial statement for accuracy.
  • Keep area neat and clean (5S)
  • Ensure financial systems and internal controls are operating effectively.
  • Ensure all sub ledgers are reconciled to General Ledger and all necessary accounts are analyzed by staff to whom assigned.
  • Gather, revise, and review business plan and quarterly forecasts information on an regular basis & use as base for analysis of monthly Key Indicators.
  • Wire funds between bank accounts, as required to fund payroll and to transfer receipts from local bank account.
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Must have previous experience within a manufacturing plant; automotive preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as CMS, SAP or Oracle
