Job Description

Position Expectations: Promotes the professional, clinical and ethical values and standards to which all staff are expected to adhere.The Assistant Director of Clinical Services will contribute and assist in the quality of care and maintaining the standards of care on both clinical and programmatic levels.Assist in managing day-to-day clinical and administrative staff and operations of the facility.

Job Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Assists in coordinating the direct clinical services, including intakes, assignment of cases, scheduling of services, staff schedules, implementation of new/revised policies and procedures, scheduling of client services.
  • Assists with coordination of case conferences and medical consultations with clinical staff.
  • Assists with data analysis related to performance measurement indicators and in the development of data reports as requested.
  • Maintains ethical standards and responsibilities in accordance with the requirements of the procession and position.
  • Assists with department budgets and supplies/materials requests.
  • Assists in completing both routine and special reports, outcomes reports, and other correspondence.
  • Assists with developing overall program goals, objectives, and their review and the program’s compliance in achieving targeted goals.
  • Promotes compliance with applicable laws, regulations, credentialing, accreditation, ethics and the mental health code.
  • Assist with onboarding and creating personnel charts.
  • Assist in new hire and ongoing training needs.
  • Support the Clinical Director to carry out training needs and analysis and identify workforce development requirements.
  • Assist in both clinical and personnel chart audits and ensure that all records are maintained safely and to the highest standard.
  • Assists the Clinical Director with financial oversight in order to maintain operations of clinical and administrative services.
  • Assists billing department to reduce risks of billing errors and fraud and financial negligence.
  • Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Supports the Clinical Director in all matters pertaining to the accreditation of the facility.
  • Assists with coordination of medical records services.
  • Assists Clinical Director with the management of facility including on-site inspections.

·Maintain professional development to maintain appropriate certification, attends seminars to continue certification requirements (CEUs). Participate in appropriate education and training activities.

·Contribute and assist the Clinical Director in marketing and program development in the areas of Medical Rehabilitation and Behavioral Health.

·Support the corporate culture for TBI Solutions, LLC, its employees and clients to promote its mission, goals and objectives to all appropriate stakeholders.

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures as well as federal and state laws.
  • Follow all licensing and regulatory rules and CARF standards.
  • Maintains, develops and assists in developing policies and procedures that meet CARF Med Rehabilitation and Behavioral Health Standards.

Competencies:

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the strategies of rehabilitation management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working effectively with staff
  • Experience of implementing/supporting service improvements.
  • Demonstrated organizational ability and financial expertise.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety laws.

Education and Experience:

  • Experience in Medical Rehabilitation
  • Experience with co-morbidities and traumatic brain injuries and neurological challenges.
  • Current certification and/or licensure in respected profession
  • Graduate degree at the master’s level or above in a medical rehab or mental health services field
  • Familiarity with Michigan No-Fault insurance law.
  • Evidence of recent continued professional development/leadership/managerial development.
  • Experience with CARF Med Rehab and/or Behavioral Health Program
  • Evidence of prioritizing and decision making.
  • Capacity to work under pressure to meet competing demands and priorities

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
