Position Summary:
We are seeking an Assistant Category Manager supporting our Engine, Electrical , Boats & Motors and Trailering categories in our Fort Lauderdale, FL Support Center. As a part of the Merchandising team, the Assistant Category Manager supports the development of merchandise assortments and business strategies that drive strong financial results. This position is responsible for managing the daily operation of the department including planning, developing, and coordinating all information related to advertising and the needs of the business. The Assistant Category Manager communicates with vendors and serves as the key department contact for stores and our support center.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Communicate with internal and external partners.
• Manage drop ship vendors.
• Review and proof store signage and all advertising vehicles, i.e. flyers, tabs, emails.
• Generate and maintain SKU set up information.
• Advertising, Marketing, Visual and sales support, responsible for managing department attribution, photography, product turnover, advertising and, promotional signage for the stores.

Education, Experience and Skills:

• Flexibility to adapt to a quickly changing business environment and varying priorities.
• Detail-oriented and an ability to detect inconsistencies in data.
• Strong business math skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, V-Lookup.
• Able to coordinate and prioritize high work volume and pressing time lines.
• 2+ years experience as an Assistant Category Manager preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and work in a team environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility, initiative and the ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced, resulted driven environment.
• BA/BS degree or commensurate work experience a plus.
