The Asset Management team is looking for an experienced business operation analyst with a passion for problem-solving looking for an opportunity to create an impact. A high-energy, detail-oriented team player with exemplary communication skills and an innate drive to meet department goals.

The Asset Management team, focuses on managing the business operational movement of IT assets and consumables for the full lifecycle from receipt through disposal including managing the relationships between hardware and software for Costco locations. Our team is focused on maintaining software compliance, identifying savings opportunities, and providing visibility of our license position to all business stakeholders. We are looking for a collaborative analyst in a non-technical role to help us elevate our IT processes and lead initiatives to make positive impacts across Costco IT.

ROLE

Conducts reviews and analysis of software asset data, identifying data integrity issues and root causes of anomalies. Data sets vary from single-system to larger exports that require comparative analysis.

Provides resolution of discrepancies between pulled inventory data and CARTS data. This may involve detailed research within Flexera, CARTS, and other source data (BigFix, SCCM).

Supports all efforts to expand software visibility of total footprint in software asset management tool. Primarily focused on how to get more information in-tool and ensuring all included info is accurate and complete.

Learns, understands, and provides subject matter expertise in proper asset management policies and procedures across purchasing, contracts, supplier management, and business owner teams; ensures software installation is reflective of any hardware retirements and that new hardware is correctly set up in alignment with Software Asset Management (SAM) requirements.

Creates, maintains process, and references documentations. This may include policy descriptions, reference lists, process flows, or historical logs of resolved issues.

Initiates cross-collaboration with internal and supplier teams and supports team members in problem resolution efforts.

Supports the development of ITAM Control Book and related policies. This may include maintenance of existing content, creation of new content, or contributing to process ideation of updates where needed.

Supports new SAM publisher candidate onboarding.

Identifies opportunities for streamlining, increasing effectiveness through continuous process improvement and in implementing best practice solutions.

REQUIRED

2+ years’ of experience in asset management with knowledge of industry best practices; or equivalent inventory/materials management experience.

Strong understanding of hardware and software asset life cycles and supply chain methods and processes; from purchase through disposal.

Experience utilizing Excel to analyze data sets is preferred; including experience with pivot tables and formulas, and the ability to compare different data sets.

Analytical, detail-oriented and demonstrates the ability to research and problem-solve effectively. Able to compare and review data for inconsistencies, can communicate and understand root causes, and takes lead on resolution; can engage other teams as necessary.

Must possess a positive attitude, ability to work independently, and be self-motivated to take initiative with a strong sense of urgency and ownership.

Must possess the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and with all organizational levels of Costco.

Previous experience successfully managing multiple projects and tasks; excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize across competing priorities and deadlines.

Willingness to take direction and coaching from management and peers; excellent and positive team interaction.

Must be flexible and adaptable to changes.

Able to work O/T as necessary.

Recommended

Experience with ServiceNow (“CARTS”) is preferred, especially in the hardware asset management modules.

IT Asset Management certification (ex. CHAMP, CSAM, CITAM, or equivalent).

Good understanding of Costco Business operations is preferred; or other knowledge of the structure of a large organization with equipment at multiple locations.

Experience with discovery tool data from SCCM, BigFix, or ServiceNow Discovery.

Experience with G-Suite (GoogleDocs, GoogleSheets, etc.).

Level 2 - $36.03 - $43.27

Level 3 - $40.87 - $50.48
