Mechanic Level II
FAA POSITION
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a solid background and experience in Honeywell Mechanical R & O processes to move into the role of Mechanic Assembly II support our Torrance R & O team. This position will support the 2nd shift operations, willing to support all aspects from disassemble, analytical and assemble, and final out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventative maintenance
  • Equipment Repair
  • Test equipment and components
  • Participate in project teams
  • Identify parts for replacement
  • Perform administrative duties
  • Equipment troubleshooting
  • Participate in formal training
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures
  • Resolve technical issues

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 2 plus years’ experience as a mechanic in a repair and overhaul shop or similar OEM EQ.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident to support specific government programs and projects.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • Experience on final out ,Turbo machinery, ACM, ECU, EPU & fans, outflow valves, actuators assemblies - Disassembling, analytical processing, Assembly, and test, be flexible to work disassemble, clean and analytical, assemble and test as desired
  • Knowledge of basic shop math, including calculate end play, face clearance. - Performs multi-tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, including weekends
  • Ability to Read and write in the English language

Special Considerations:

  • Lifting is at or below 30Lbs. without significant repetitions.
  • Training will be OJT (on the job)
  • **A&P experience and/or license is desired but not required.
  • Operation of a Powered industrial truck is considered at least Industrial and may be considered Heavy as determined by other exposures.
  • Moderate exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, and physical risks is anticipated.
  • Steel Toe safety shoes are required
