About The Job

We are seeking entry to mid-level professionals to conduct pre-construction surveys and construction monitoring in Texas. This position will be based at project sites located throughout Texas. Candidates must be familiar with Texas wildlife, stormwater management best practices, dust control monitoring and have construction monitoring experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow all Dudek and construction site safety protocols.
• Conduct surveys for wildlife including nesting birds.
• Work with construction crews and environmental resource leads to document compliance levels related to environmental regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with construction personnel and regulatory personnel to develop solutions while implementing permit conditions.
• Collect field data for use in project regulatory reporting.
• Frequent and overnight travel expected depending on your home location.

Minimum Requirements

• Reliable vehicle is required to travel to project sites (4WD not necessary).
• Must have the ability to be insured to drive a vehicle and/or current auto-insurance.
• Understanding of environmental regulations.
• As a federal contractor, successful candidates are required to pass the following pre-employment requirements prior to beginning employment: pre - employment drug test and background check.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Experience in performing biological surveys and construction monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications

• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, or other related field OR at least 3 years of field experience in construction compliance monitoring.
• Must demonstrate solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with an interest to learn and grow as a project team.

Physical Requirements

Working Conditions:

• This job requires occasional project site visits-based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, moving vehicles and equipment.
