Art Department Intern (Part-Time)

Summary:

The Art Department Assistant position’s primary role is to produce art with graphic design and signage manufacture. Responsible for developing and executing a wide range of design projects. The Art Department Assistant will ensure that assignments meet established standards and deadlines. The Art Department Assistant must also possess a strong aptitude for Information Technology in for efficient business operations.

Critical Job Functions:

• A very strong attention to detail
• Take ownership of the work created in the department
• Understanding and estimating the length of projects and driving the design of art pipelines to meet deadlines
• Strategizing with Supervisor to meet or exceed quality expectations without compromising project margins

Job Qualifications:

Experience:

• 1+ years in comparable position

Aptitude for Technology:

• Software: strong knowledge of standard graphic design software
• Hardware: strong knowledge about computers, internal networks, VOIP systems, handheld devices

Other Qualifications:

• Demonstrated a competence in a breadth of art styles and signage manufacture
• The ability to lift or move chloroplast and other large or bulky materials
• Needs to frequently move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods
• Experience managing multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a large format printer, copy machine, and computer programs
• Demonstrate ability to communicate stylistic concepts and ideas verbally and visually
• Friendly personality and positive attitude
