Armed Security Supervisor Lieutenant

JOB SUMMARY

The Lieutenant position provides lead direction to Protective Services Security Officers (PSO) at an assigned high-profile client site on the assigned shift(s). The lieutenant performs the duties of a PSO within the scope of the assignment, observes and reports activities and incidents, and provides for the security and safety of client property and personnel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Demonstrate capability in managing multi-tasks and supervising one or more subordinate units consisting of a squad or multiple squads of security or law enforcement personnel.
• Ensures that posts are staffed and provides direct supervision of PSOs.
• Other duties as assigned
• Handles the day-to-day operations of assigned officer force in assigned area, ensuring all contractual requirements are met
• Ensures that officers have appropriate uniform and equipment.
• Maintains order and discipline of PSOs in accordance with established Rules of Personal Conduct and contractual agreements
• Schedules/Inputs officers' time in payroll and minimizes overtime.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have supervisor and conflict management skills (problem solving skills, good written and verbal communication skills).
• Ability to use a computer is a MUST.
• Must have detailed knowledge of federal contract security operations.
• Must be an U.S. Citizen and read, write, and speak English.
• 2 years of successful experience in field supervision (civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement, or commercial/industrial security force service),
• *STATEWIDE AND OCCASSIONAL INTERSTATE TRAVEL REQUIRED*
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to pay full attention to detail and be able to multi-task.
• Required to demonstrate continuing physical fitness and proficiency with firearms or other special weapons.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

• Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Handling and being exposed to sensate and confidential information.

• Occasional walking, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
• Regular computer usage.
• Regular talking and hearing.
• Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks.
• Required to use vehicle for the performance of duties.

Wage range for this position is $ 52,000 to $56,000

· The paid leave for full time employees is from 80-240 hours / year based on longevity in the position, and sick leave is a minimum of 48 hours per year for a full-time employee
