Architect - Cloud Network Infrastructure

Join SATG as a Cloud Network Infrastructure Architect! As Architect of SDN Network Services for Intel Developer Cloud (IDC), the candidate will be responsible for researching and recommending specific systems, applications, data, or process designs for cloud network infrastructure solutions. In instances where the solution does not exist, they are relied upon to invent a unique solution.

Other responsibilities but not limited to:

• Design, develop, and analyze overall architecture to determine that hardware, software and data architecture solutions meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security needs.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically in complex and fast paced environments.
• Excellent leadership skills with a track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving successful software or network-related initiatives.
• Lead engineering teams and work closely with cross-functional teams to define the services for our customer and provider networks and drive their deployment and monitoring within IDC.
• Lead on architectural governance, decisions related to projects, and participate as part of a cross functional architecture decision group both collaboratively within Intel and as an externally regarded leader in the space.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Expertise in areas of SDN, networking, network functions, cloud services, DevOps and automation, and monitoring will be critical in achieving our organization's goals and objectives.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 9+ years of experience -OR- a Master's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 6+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 4+ years of experience in:

• C, C++ or Go development
• Software development, with a focus on SDN, network infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Cloud network infrastructure

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $156,410.00-$250,410.00

• Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
