• Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday-Thursday (8am – 5pm); Fridays (8am-4pm)

Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) is a not-for-profit physician organization with more than 250 locations and 800 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality care in clinics and medical offices throughout North Texas.

• 2 years related experience in a Healthcare Environment (PREFERRED)
• High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)

Position Responsibilities:

THPG Appointment Scheduling Specialists schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies by the physician. Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments, conducting patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care, scheduling tests, procedures, and referral appointments. Communicates with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests and may collect fees such as co-pays / co-insurance, gathers insurance information and patient personal data. Demonstrates positive professional customer service in all patient, staff, and visitor contacts, and performs other duties as assigned.
