Position Summury:
Application Engineer responsible to drive our customers’ success by specifying and developing application solutions for our tools. This person will be a key interface between ZEISS semiconductor customers and FOB Repair, PRT/MeRiT Product Management and Application Team and will be collecting application demands of our customers and translating them into specifications and solutions.
Role / Responsibility (Application Technologist):
- Collaborate with Intel team to develop novel techniques and processes and move PRT into mainstream production
- Supports product managers in defining new product requirements or application solutions
- Be open to helping support service, and always in alignment with the service team
- Leads and performs customer tool acceptance
- Master or PhD Degree in Engineering, Physics or Chemistry, or related experience
- Provide first level applications training for SMS support staff
- Leads on-site Joint Development Projects with customers in close cooperation with HQ product managers and applications
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience on advanced semiconductor processes and equipment.
- Obtains knowledge of customer process tools and applications, new market opportunities
- Own, with excellence in communication, the Intel – Santa Clara PRT project
- Willingness to travel >30%
- Provide training for sales
- Provides applications training and technical support to customers
- Programming and automating features for application and service use.
- Communication skills, self-direction, integrity, positive thinking, learning desire, teamwork
- Experience in using high level numerical software such as MatLab for data analysis
Implements ZEISS SMS semiconductor PRT/MeRiT products
Own, with excellence in communication, the Intel – Santa Clara PRT project

Provides applications training and technical support to customers
Provide first level applications training for SMS support staff
Provide training for sales
Provide quick responses to customer and drive to closure with excellence in communication
Attends professional conferences as requested
Willingness to travel >30%

The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
