Application Support Specialist Jobs

I have a full time opportunity with one our top tier financial clients for an Application Support Engineer to join the team in East Hartford, CT. This role will provide technical support for the organizations primary business applications and help manage service ticket for these core applications.

This role will be 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

Responsibilities:

• Manage service tickets and coordinate problem resolution for tickets related to core business applications.
• Assist team members with the implementation of software releases and other system changes.
• Ensures thorough testing is performed before changes are placed into a production environment.
• Provides support for the corporate applications most used by end users and business managers.
• Take part in small projects and process improvement efforts to improve the usability of business applications.
• Conducts weekly reviews of open service tickets to make sure the most critical tickets are closed in a timely manner.
• Researches and analyzes production issues with business applications.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvements, makes recommendations to the business, and implements these improvements.
• Creates and maintains system documentation, manuals, and policy documents.
• Helps the training department to develop training materials that improve the usability of business applications.

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of IT network and system infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer-related discipline and/or equivalent experience within an applications support environment
• Solid experience providing application support to key business end users
