Anatomy Faculty-Foundational Sciences Jobs

Central Michigan University College of Medicine (CMED) is seeking an anatomist to join our Foundational Sciences Discipline. The successful candidate will work closely with two anatomy faculty members to coordinate lab content as part of a cross-disciplinary and inquiry-based medical school curriculum that includes case-based and team-based learning. Duties include working collaboratively to prepare cadaveric prosections and student lab activities, instructing students in weekly lab sessions and participating in multidisciplinary facilitation of group sessions and/or lectures. This is an open rank/open track position dependent on successful candidates' qualifications. Scholarly activities will be appropriate to the track. The start date is negotiable. Qualified candidate will have a Masters Degree in related area (Instructor Rank) or Ph.D M.D. or D.O. (for all other ranks), with experience in and strong commitment to innovative approaches to education and learning preferably in a medical school setting. Candidate must have human cadaver experience and teaching cadaver-based human gross anatomy at university level. Should possess evidence of incorporating DEI into pedagogical and or research practices. Ideal candidate will enjoy working in a highly collaborative and integrated curriculum.
