: Our Client is a real estate investment firm that specializes in multi-family equity, net lease equity, and real estate private credit nationwide. They are currently seeking a talented and bright Analyst or Senior Analysis to support their structured debt/equity strategy. This role will require strong analytical skills related to real estate investment analysis, as well as asset management, investor relations, real estate fund analysis and other general business needs.
The ideal candidate is a curious, detail-oriented, self-driven, and inquisitive real estate investment analyst with exceptional modeling and analytical skills. The role will report to the firms Portfolio Manager and Chief Investment Officer.
The Role:
• Responsible for investment analysis and underwriting, including running sensitivity analysis and scenario analyses for initial investment, asset management, and exits/redemptions.
• Assist with investment due diligence and risk management analysis.
• Research and analyze all necessary information to understand the broader market, local markets, and property submarket.
• Draft and model investment committee materials and be responsible for the investment committee and due diligence process.
• Develop quarterly valuation models and update regularly, interface with sponsors/borrowers on a regular basis to understand performance and risk of the investment.
• Coordinate with draw team and accounting to provide needed information and organize quarterly reporting for investors.
• Develop responses to investor questions and requests, assist with all necessary tasks related to fundraising, including coordination, presentation updates, and analyses.
• Utilization of Excel workbook tools to analyze databases and perform cash flow analyses, working with programs such as Yardi Matrix, etc for portfolio accounting and portfolio management purposes.
• Perform other related duties, research projects, or special ad hoc projects, as assigned.
Skills/Competencies:
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience with real estate investment analysis, debt and/or equity.
• A bachelor's degree with a focus on an analytical major, such as finance, is required.
• Knowledge and experience working with real estate across property types, including multifamily, industrial, retail, office, net leases etc. with the skills to model new and emerging property types and research new markets and sectors.
• Knowledge and experience working with due diligence and investment closings, underwriting, licenses and lien waivers, and the construction draw process.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong proficiency in Excel required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, patience, diplomacy, and tact.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team and manage multiple projects in a very fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
• Flexibility and ability to learn new processes and methods.
