Job Description
Business Overview:
The Analyst will have two primary functions within the team: transaction management and fund accounting. The analyst will be responsible for the processing and control of Security, FX, ETD, and OTC trading for European UCIT Funds and ETFs domiciled in Luxembourg and Ireland. The analyst will also support the processing of Net Asset Valuations for European UCITS funds while ensuring full compliance with subjected accounting regulations

Responsibilities:
  • Validating price movements of equity and fixed income securities
  • Ensuring all income accruals and corporate actions are accounted for and validated
  • Monitoring cash and security reconciliations on a daily basis
  • Review and validate the work of local and global colleagues
  • NAV impact analysis and justification for more complex vehicles. Tasks Include:
  • Ensure that client Service Level Agreements are applied across all funds
  • Trouble shooting issues that may arise
  • Knowledge expert on Accounting systems and other suite of systems used
  • Perform timely and accurate recording and processing of corporate action and income events
  • Responding to ad hoc requests from auditors and accountants
  • Processing fund transactions (i.e. security trading, investor activity, etc.)
  • Continuously improving the further development of Fund Accounting Processes
  • Processing of all foreign exchange and derivative contracts
  • Ensure all agreed reporting is completed and sent to clients on a timely basis
  • Ownership of the risk management & procedural controls of the group in line with ORP/C & regulatory requirements
  • Booking of ETD and OTC transactions in Accounting system for investment funds
  • Oversee global projects pertaining to Luxembourg UCIT funds
  • Provide oversight control of Equity, FX, and Fixed Income Trades
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Ability to work U.S. holidays and shift scheduling (6:00 PM End of Day)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Willingness to learn new systems, concepts, and processes
  • Ability to write macros and create process improvements in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS
  • Strong conceptual knowledge of Equity, Fixed Income, and OTC products
  • Strong Initiative and problem-solving skills necessary
  • 1-3 years of Fund Accounting/Administration experience
  • Working knowledge of data vendors such as Bloomberg, IDC, etc.

The expected starting salary range for this position in Chesterbrook, PA (Greater Philadelphia) is between $65,000 and $73,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
