Job Description

The Associate Business Systems Analyst will be a part of the US Commercial BTS - Technology & Data organization, to plan and implement the technology and data applications for the US commercial business. These Application Platforms & Data solutions address the digital technology needs of all of AbbVie commercial brands in the US area and help influence the experience of how our patients and Health Care Providers engage with AbbVie. The Associate Business Systems Analyst will work with various Marketing Technology Platforms & Data Solutions, and s/he will be responsible to understand the Business needs as well as the capabilities and limitations of the current technology application platforms. S/he will also be responsible for ensuring that the business expectations are aligned with the technology delivery services. Also, being part of the AbbVie’s BTS organization, they will also be responsible to ensure that all applicable IT compliance rules are followed while business solutions are being delivered.


Responsibilities:

  • Proactively looks for solving current inefficiencies in the Business processes or the technology platforms and takes initiative in proposing such capability enhancements and/or optimizations.
  • Proactively investigates and understands platform capabilities and takes initiatives in ensuring that Business partners are made aware of these capabilities & insights so they can pursue them as they plan future business strategy & campaigns.
  • Understands AbbVie IT compliance policies and ensures that the Technology Platform is always in compliance of those policies by partnering with Platform Delivery as well as Enterprise SQA & DevOps teams.
  • Works directly with the Platform & Technology development teams to ensure that delivered solutions are aligned with Business expectations and provides answers / clarifications to keep the technical delivery teams unblocked and on track.
  • Works in drafting technical requirements for development teams by translating business needs and is proficient is use of tools like JIRA, Confluence, Sharepoint, Visio, Powerpoint & MS Excel.
  • Acts hands on within the given technology platform and perform the role that the Business user would perform such that he can perform User Acceptance Testing as well as Business User Trainings.
  • Works directly with business stakeholders to understand specific business needs and partners with them for end-to-end solution delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Acts hands on within the given technology platform and perform the role that the Business user would perform such that he can perform User Acceptance Testing as well as Business User Trainings.
  • Understands AbbVie IT compliance policies and ensures that the Technology Platform is always in compliance of those policies by partnering with Platform Delivery as well as Enterprise SQA & DevOps teams.
