AIR & OCEAN Export Supervisor | $75,000 - $85,000 DOE

Location: Illinois

Are you passionate about international logistics and experienced in air and ocean export operations? Join our clients dynamic team as an Air & Ocean Export Supervisor. Our client is a leading global logistics company, and are seeking a talented individual to oversee their air and ocean export operations in Illinois.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a team of air and ocean export coordinators to ensure smooth and efficient export operations.
• Collaborate with internal departments, including customer service, operations, and sales, to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and international trade policies.
• Coordinate and execute the export process, including document preparation, customs compliance, and shipment tracking.
• Optimize processes and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to air and ocean export.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer inquiries or concerns.
• Monitor shipment progress and address any issues or delays promptly.

Requirements:

• Proficient in using export management systems and other relevant software.
• Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs requirements, and documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with INCO terms and international shipping documentation.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and certification is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in air and ocean export operations, including supervisory experience.
