Job Description

The faculty member promotes Agritech College mission and identity by contributing to the ongoing development of students and wide-ranging programs at Agritech College and within the Agriculture Program.

Agritech College of Higher Education is dedicated to excellent teaching and learning in Agritech and offers a multitude of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs. Agritech College has been experiencing significant growth over the last decade and is expanding its academic offerings. Submit your university certificates or diplomas with your application.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Share in the ongoing development and implementation of departmental and college activities and projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Develop relationships with agricultural businesses and organizations to foster internships, capstone experiences, and donor relations.
  • Engage in scholarship and other professional development activities.
  • Administration of the program and recruitment efforts for the program. This includes program updates, advising students, training around advising, plan of study updates and changes, and developing individual capstone projects/work.
  • Actively engage the Agritech College mission and identity by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values, honoring the legacy of the founding congregation, promoting unity in diversity, and integrating the Catholic Franciscan intellectual traditions in courses, programs, and services.
  • Participate in the life of the campus and university, including participation in faculty governance and co-curricular programs.
  • Mentor students through advising, internships, and service learning opportunities in the community.
  • Actively participate in curriculum implementation and activities of the Agriculture Program.
  • Teaching load: 24 credits per academic year. (21 credit hours of teaching and 3 credits of administration).
  • Maintain alumni relations and social media platforms used for alumni and recruitment.
  • Develop partnerships with transfer colleges/schools.


Required Qualifications:

knowledge of and commitment to the mission of Agritech College.


  • A Masters degree in agriculture, business, animal science, or a related field is required; however, an earned doctorate, is strongly preferred.
  • Evidence of capacity for effective teaching in higher education.
  • Experience working with students at varying levels of ability is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently with colleagues throughout the university and in the community.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to multicultural competence, best practices in teaching, high ethical standards, diversity, and community service and engagement.
  • Experience with online education is strongly desired.
