The Clinical Advisor is responsible for supporting client quality initiatives around the nursing excellence experience. The focus may range from advanced analytic, best practice and integrated solutions based on client needs. The advisor will have expertise in clinical quality, change management and improvement. Patient experience background is a plus. The advisor will have direct accountability for partnering with client leadership to optimize solution opportunities through training and analytics. It is preferred that the advisor should also understand the ANCC Magnet program and sources of evidence around clinical quality and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides strategic Advisory support for clinical quality, which will include but not be limited to proficiency in clinical products such as NDNQI, Nursing Excellence Solution, Quality Performer, and/or others as well as Magnet experience in alignment with the Press Ganey perspective.

  • Assumes responsibility for professional development via proactive review of Press Ganey thought leadership and Subject Matter Expert publications/resources. Seeks to expand own role as Subject Matter Expert via personal study, resource development, and knowledge sharing within and external to Press Ganey, and mentoring of others. Engages in continuous learning and development of healthcare industry knowledge.
  • Leverages clinical expertise and Press Ganey’s knowledge and comparative database to share performance trends, and best practices in clinical quality initiatives.
  • Develops ongoing professional relationships with key stakeholders and facilitates networking opportunities for clients.
  • Proactively monitors the efficacy of current data strategies and recommend course corrections and enhancements as needed.
  • May assess optimization and improvement strategies via observation or performance review and offer feedback for refinement, leveraging solutions and national best practices.
  • Assimilates relevant regulatory, accreditation and professional organization standards to support clients’ clinical quality programs and submissions.
  • Identifies client need for more intensive review and support and makes necessary referrals to Press Ganey Consulting Services.
  • Provide education and training for clients about Press Ganey tools and resources
  • Works cross-functionally with the Press Ganey account team to ensure client-centeredness.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills, including presentations to large management groups.
  • Education
  • Clinical Degree required (RN); experience with PX data/solutions preferred. Advanced degree preferred (MBA, MHA, MSN, MPH, Analytics, for example)
  • Demonstrated experience in achieving goals, completing tasks with high quality and on time.
  • 4 years to 6 years of nursing experience required.
  • Experience conducting data analysis, report interpretation, client training and support on online reporting tools.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Directly related experience in consulting, project management, and/or performance improvement areas: (Clinical Quality, PI/Lean, Change Management, or OD, for example).
  • This role will require up to 25% travel to various client locations.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $95,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
