Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Electrophysiology – Piedmont Heart Institute
Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is recruiting for a cardiac electrophysiology physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join the team working at our PHI offices and hospitals within 45 minutes of Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. This is a full time position working four 10 hour shifts with no night shifts. Some travel between sites may be required.
In this role you will:
- Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients as direct patient care services are delivered
- Manage patient care from an inpatient and outpatient setting
- Depending on job structure, holiday calls and weekend shifts may be required
- Work alongside Physicians and other Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers on a collaborative team
- Complete admissions, consultations and discharges when appropriate
This position will require decision-making skills, as ideal candidates will have experience with limited supervision and work well independently.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters, Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification
- -or—
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing, Master’s degree in Nursing and certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by an accredited certifying body.
Experience:
1-2 years of electrophysiology or cardiology experience strongly preferred
