Required Qualifications
- The University of Minnesota requires that an employee has authorization to work in the US in which the role is based. - Valid driver’s license
- Bachelor’s degree and two years experience after degree completion, a master’s degree, or any combination of education and experience that totals six years
The University of Minnesota Rochester is seeking three Admissions Recruiters for the Admissions team. Our Admissions Recruiters are dynamic and outgoing individuals who use their communication skills to help guide prospective students and families from all walks of life into the next phase of the academic career. This role is located in Rochester or Minneapolis, MN, reporting directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management.
This role is responsible for:
- Creating and analyzing regular and ad hoc reports to help run business processes.
- Processing prospective student information and applications, which contain transcripts, test scores, and letters of recommendation.
- Coordinating the timely processing of admissions applications and the daily related office operations in the Office of Admissions.
- Resolving non-routine problems.
- Developing and promoting new initiatives and programs.
- Supervising both the student assistants and the student Ambassador program.
- Counseling prospective students about academic opportunities at the University.

Days and Schedule
- Applicants must be willing to work beyond an 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. work schedule occasionally to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, which will include on-site training, in-person events, and engagements on evenings and weekends.
- Admissions Representatives must be able to travel. Overnight visits may be required (travel reimbursement is provided).
- This position has great flexibility and will include required travel in Minneapolis or Rochester, MN, neighboring cities or states, or other locations as assigned.
