Leadership and Strategic Planning:
Set strategic direction for, create, and implement all holistic admissions processes for Duke OTD; Create and implement training and supervise approximately 25 admissions support personnel to ensure inter-rater consistency in application reviews and interviews; supervise the Admissions Officer 1 position; communicate admissions goals and calendar to the public and the division; ensure compliance with accreditation standards for admissions; make recommendations directly to the Division Chief and Program Director. This position supervises the Admissions Officer 1 position.
Budgeting:
Project, manage, and optimize OTD admissions budget and expenses.
Marketing:
Design and implement targeted marketing campaigns that educate the public and market the program across multiple institutions; create and oversee communication strategies for high-touch communications likely to reach and influence potential students.
Recruiting:
Select best platforms for reaching potential applicants; plan and facilitate virtual and in-person events (fairs, conferences, information sessions, etc.) that meet the needs of prospective students and align with the application cycles; Equip Duke OTD representatives to participate in recruiting; ensure accuracy and consistency of messaging across representatives and platforms.
Create And Evaluate Systems For Processing and Reviewing Applications and Conducting Interviews:
Determine admissions cycle process and dates; develop work flows for managing 400-500 applicants per admissions cycle; recruit and vet outside professionals to score applications; make decision to invite reviewers for the upcoming year; terminate the relationship with those not meeting the standards in a professional, respectful, and collaborative manner; create and implement training for 20-30 admissions readers and interviewers; formally evaluate and update all aspects of for the Duke OTD application process on an annual basis.
Analyze All Application Data And Make Admissions Decisions:
Generate scoring criteria and weighting for all elements of the application process; compile and analyze scores for applications and select eligible interviewees; develop and direct 125 applicant individual and group interviews; compile and analyze scores for individual, and group interviews; rank and select eligible interviewees; analyze all data, rank, and select applicants; lead admissions discussions pointing out differentiations or outliers related to scoring; evaluate admissions outcomes and update criteria, weighting, and process.
Matriculate And Orient Newly Admitted Students:
Develop and supervise work flows for all aspect of student onboarding (degree certification, final transcript submission, university health requirements, ID’s, parking, university module completion requirements, etc.); establish student records across multiple platforms (DukeHub, PeopleSoft, Canvas); collaborate with Financial Aid and Registrar; Design, coordinate, and facilitate a 5-day orientation for new students, involving approximately 25 experiential sessions; evaluate outcomes of matriculation and orientation and make updates. Train student workers to make the “OTD signature connection”; successfully delegate tasks to students, temporary workers, and others.

Model Duke OTD’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in all communications with applicants and selected students and admissions partners; engage with other admissions directors in the SOM about best practices in holistic admissions; engage with legal consultants in Duke SOM to ensure compliance with all federal law related to admissions; evaluate, propose, and take the lead on necessary remediation, evaluate admissions outcomes and match-to-mission criteria and make updates.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Work generally requires a knowledge and understanding of college experience and student life obtained through the attainment of a bachelor's degree.
Experience
Two years of experience as an Admissions Officer or the equivalent at a OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE comparable college or university.
