Admission Coordinator

Full-Time First Shift

Beaumont Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility)

A new, 144-bed behavioral health facility – Beaumont Behavioral Hospital will provide a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues will be offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility will provide a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.

The Admission Coordinator is responsible for answering the main doors as well as the hospital multi-line phone, verification of insurances, obtaining signatures on admitting paperwork, and processing of all admitting forms. The Coordinator interfaces with the Intake Department, patients, and nursing units. We will consider flexible scheduling options.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience verifying insurance required
  • Multi-line phone and computer skills required
  • Professional, customer service focused individual with strong communication skills, ability to multi-task and critical thinking skills.
  • Willing to train the enthusiastic individual
  • 1 to 3 years of experience working in an admissions or related department required

Work Hours: This is a 1st shift position, 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. This person works overtime, holidays, and rotating weekends. This is an in-person position, but we are open to flexible scheduling.
