Job Description
Duties


  • You will maintain accurate security personnel files, and assist with site visits for classified testing.
  • You will generate well thought out security plans and procedures with input/oversight from the security manager for customer approval.
  • You will use personal computers, related hardware and peripherals, and applications such as word processors, spreadsheets, telecommunications packages, and database/information management software.
  • You will generate and update standard operating procedures.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications


NT-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-02 (GS-5/8 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Maintaining security personnel information to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.


NT-02: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-01 (GS-1 through 4 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing assistance in maintaining databases to ensure security files are accurate.

Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:


  • Successful completion of a LL.B. or J.D. degree that is related to the position being filled OR
  • Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR
  • A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
  • Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree OR
NT-02:


  • A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
  • Successfully completed a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree; OR
