The Georgetown Law Center on Poverty and Inequality’s
Initiative on Gender Justice & Opportunity (the Initiative)
has a broad portfolio of research and policy work on gender, race, and youth issues.
Job Overview
The Administrative Program Associate, reporting to the Center’s Executive Director, assists in meeting the various administrative needs of the Initiative.
Qualifications
  • Ability to adapt to changing operational needs, and flexibility when needed to contribute to the success of a team
  • Life experience and/or a demonstrated commitment to social justice issues and marginalized populations
  • Ability to seek clarification and guidance as appropriate, to prioritize competing demands, and to effectively and respectfully communicate with colleagues
  • Strong proficiency with GetResponse, WordPress, and other online communication platforms
  • Multitasking and organizational skills and detail orientation
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, project management and collaboration skills
  • At least 2 years of experience in administrative tasks, preferably in a non-profit or University setting
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, MS Office Suite, and Canvas
Preferred qualifications
  • Ability to work within a framework of changing priorities and to work in a team setting
  • Self-motivation, self-sufficiency, and ability to develop innovative solutions
