Importantly we have a busy and innovative Monash Health Translation Prescient MHTP dedicated to research from Petri dish to person and the 3rd floor is dedicated to Clinical trials with the Clinical Trials Centre CTC accommodation 200 plus clinical trials including phase 1 (first in human) to phase 4 safety trials from several departments. It has a dedicated pharmacy, pathology services and CT-Scanner and is world renown.


About The Role


There are currently 4 clinical research nurses within the unit. The administration assistant will provide efficient and effective clerical and administrative support to the nurses and medical staff. The assistant will work in a team based environment, with a high degree of accuracy and initiative at all times. The assistant is considered to be a vital part of the team and will actively contribute to the ongoing operation and success of the unit.


As a part of a busy team, your responsibilities will include:


  • Friendly, courteous and professional greetings and support to all visitors, patients and staff
  • Appropriate standard of presentation
  • Do what needs doing without seeking direct instructions.
  • Effective administrative support
  • Work well within a team environment and autonomously.


About You


We are seeking a reliable and flexible person who enjoys working in a team environment with minimal supervision.


You will be supporting 4 clinical research nurses by attending to all administrative tasks, and they are varied to say the least, and incredibly interesting. Ideally you will have extensive administrative experience, initiative to do what needs doing without seeking direct instructions, great interpersonal skills, well above average learning skills, and the ability to get on with everyone, from all walks of life.


You are highly organised, with great attention to detail, and you enjoy the variety that comes from a clerical role where priorities can and do change. Multi-tasking comes naturally to you and in addition, you have well developed IT, written and verbal communication skills. Clinical research changes history by contributing to improved healthcare and health outcomes for current and future renal patients located throughout the world. What You Need


  • Administration experience, preferably within the health or research fields.
  • Australian working rights
  • Glowing referees from current or previous manager/s.
  • Current Victorian drivers’ licence
  • Knowledge of Monash Health software systems would be advantageous, or the ability to learn them in a timely manner.
