In-Flight Service (IFS) is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented professional to join the Admin Support Team as a Admin Support Specialist. This role will primarily support the IFS Admin Support organization in employee profile management for flight attendant trainees and existing flight attendant qualified employees. Additional responsibilities include benefit time bank maintenance (vacation and PPT), writing or updating internal team policies and procedures, and generating several daily and weekly reports using Microsoft Excel. In this role, you will engage with flight attendants and leaders in the operation to better understand how Admin Support can add value to the greater IFS organization. The ideal candidate can demonstrate technical proficiencies, adapt to new environments and challenges, and work both autonomously and collaboratively across the organization.


  • Leverage Delta’s proprietary Crew Management System (DBMS/Crew 360) to establish flight attendant profiles, track time and attendance and manage PPT and vacation banks
  • Update Delta’s SAP Human Resources Information System (HRIM) to reflect hiring, job transfers, separations and leave of absence
  • Be an expert in the data environments and automation processes involved in daily reporting via automated processes
  • Some travel required
  • Triage, redirect and/or reply to questions from flight attendant trainees about class scheduling and general inquiries about the role via email
  • Manage flight attendant minimum flying requirements governing eligibility for Delta subsidized insurance, PPT and vacation accrual
  • Complete employer Section 2 of USCIS Form I-9 for all flight attendant trainees
  • Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
  • Exercise critical thinking and strong analytical skills to achieve the annual Flight Plan goals
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and performance
  • Recommend ideas for new ways to provide optimal customer service to our internal customers
  • Provide ad-hoc data support on complex subjects and material in an expedited manner
  • Develop and improve automated reports for daily consumption and using specific formatting and presentation guidelines
  • Evaluate impact of proposed operational changes
  • Design and distribute surveys, analyze results, and propose solutions for incremental, iterative improvements
  • Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders in IFS and other departments to deliver on process improvements
  • Schedule flight attendant trainees for training classes using Qualtrics and Microsoft Excel

What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion and diplomacy
  • Must be performing satisfactorily in current position

  • Highly proficient PC skills including advanced-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (Must be proficient in VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, LOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH, IF, IFS or nested IF formulas, as well as conditional formatting, data validation, and pivot tables)

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred Qualifications)


  • Human Resources experience or Time and Attendance in any industry
  • Basic SAS/SQL programming skills
  • In-Flight Service or knowledge of airline crew operations
  • Experience with SAP and/or Crew Management Systems (CMS) (Sabre CrewTrac, Delta’s DBMS, etc)
