Responsibilities


As an Acquisition Analyst with MTSI, you will provide direct support to a US government Program Manager with an advanced research & development program for planning, developing, monitoring, and executing procurement and contractual actions and associated documentation. You will be responsible for coordinating with team leads to support pre-acquisition and post-acquisition strategy planning and implementation and preparing procurement request packages and activities that includes contracting documentation such as Statements of Work, CDRLs, acquisition plans, etc. This position will be full-time at the US government customer site in Patuxent River NAS, MD.


Responsibilities


Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:


  • Prepare various Excel spreadsheets/reports to be used as tracking tools for program management and data management;
  • Support technical and financial teams in responding to various data drills.
  • Monitor and track the status of contracts to include analyzing obligations and expenditures, spend plans, periods of performance, coordinating with Procuring Contracting Officers, Administrative Contracting Officers, Contracting Officer Representatives, and vendors relative to outstanding issues;
  • Ensure documents are complete and proactively track through the approval process. Candidate should be experienced with writing acquisition documentation and be familiar with ASDN hierarchy;


Qualifications


Required:


  • Candidate must have at least five (5) of experience in with the DoD acquisition process;
  • Travel (~10%) is required for this position.


Desired


  • Candidate should have demonstrated good oral and written communication skill;
  • Candidate should be knowledgeable of Navy contracts and financial processes;
  • Candidate should have experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained, complex security environment, and have the ability to respond to drills with a short turnaround time.
  • Candidate should be proficient in all Microsoft Office products and Adobe;


Educational Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university;
  • Experience can be substituted for education.


Clearance Requirements


  • Current SSBI or Federal Investigative Standard Tier 5 (T5) or Tier 5 Reinvestigation (T5R) within the last 6 years;
  • A final DoD Top Secret clearance;


Eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI) in accordance with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 704 and Special Access Program (SAP) in accordance with SAP Nomination Policy (SAPNP) with no disqualifying security issues that will deem a candidate ineligible for access).
