Job Description
Position Summary
This position is responsible for the cash management of SEA, the financing of North American (NA) subsidiaries, and the implementation of new treasury processes and systems at NAHQ. This position requires strong analytical and research skills, communication skills with various departments and subsidiaries, as well as leadership and an innovative mindset to lead change management and to successfully implement various kinds of projects to improve treasury operations.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Financial market (Federal Reserve, Monetary and fiscal policies) sensing that may have an impact on the company in terms of money market depository accounts as well as time deposits
  • PMI (Post merger integration) in terms of treasury; analyze merged companies’ banking structure, payment process, and banking relationship and recommend optimal structures for them
  • Supervise FX risk management; review subsidiaries’ FX hedge, recommend hedge strategy for the subsidiaries, communicate with HQ
  • Administer online bank portal for SEA and guide subsidiaries to comply with treasury policy
  • Monitor and update most recent financial market status to HQ Korea and top management
  • Lead financing related projects to support business; analyze potential outcome and feasibility of the recommendation for various projects in terms of treasury
  • Lead training staff of subsidiaries; host treasury conference or visit subsidiaries to instruct new system or updated treasury policy
  • Analyze DSO/DPO of SEA and daughter companies to optimize working capital structure
  • Study best practices of treasury functions and recommend new processes or systems to improve the current practices
  • Analyze competitor’s financial statements for risk management
  • Advise on investment allocations
  • Management banking relationship
  • Liquidity Management; supervise daily cash management of US pooling and support regional treasurer to make decision for investment or loan, advise Canadian subsidiaries
  • Project management ability; meet deadline of each task and communicate successfully with other departments or subsidiaries
  • Managing investments with average duration of 10~12month
  • Forecasting cash flow for the entire region to avoid idle cash and make use of our strong balance sheet
  • ISDA and Dodd & Frank regulatory follow up for new merged companies or new banks
  • Oversee month end closing for cash, short term investment, and debts
Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent communication in both Korean and English (verbal and written) is preferred
  • At least 5 year of experience in company finance Functions, accounting management, accounting firms.
  • SAP experience preferred or treasury work station experience
  • Accounting knowledge and relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance required, CFA or CTP preferred
  • Highly proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word
  • A desire to move quickly and decisively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong financial analysis, modeling and valuation skills
  • Strong Organizing Skill is required to manage a large volume of data and documents
  • Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and levels within the business and align internal and external stakeholders toward common objectives
  • Project management skills require
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative information concisely into strategic recommendations
