Summary/Objective:


This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting team members and their related responsibilities. Position pays attention to financial and operational details, having the ability to manage end to end financial processes, strong analytical skills and the ability to influence others to driver overall success. Project and change management skills, high integrity, collaboration and teamwork skills essential.


Duties and Responsibilities:


The duties and responsibilities of the Accounting Manager will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Assist management with business analysis, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Assist with quarterly and annual audits including Financial and SOX requirements
  • Review AR and AP regularly and hold weekly meetings with Supervisors
  • Manage communications between Customers, Sales, Customer Service, and Shipping
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide feedback to other Managers, Directors, and VP’s regarding cross functional processes
  • Manage expense reporting and company credit cards
  • Month End close procedures including journal entries and reconciliations for multiple locations
  • Monitor effective internal controls
  • Implementation of effective processes and procedures to increase efficiency in all aspects of the office
  • Manage Customer Rebates and Co-ops and Rep Commissions ensuring the system as well as customers and reps have correct information on programs and contracts


Working Conditions:


  • Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  • Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  • May sit for several hours at a time.
  • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

Requirements:


Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience


Education: Associates Degree in Accounting related field 


Computer Skills: Experience working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)


Organization Skills: Demonstrated organizational, process and analytical skills; ability to produce accurate and quality work with a fast turn around and a sense of urgency


Cross-functional Skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally; engages and builds effective relationships across the organization; provides professional, timely and proactive internal and external customer service


Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to influence and possesses organizational savvy; ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information; ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; strong interpersonal skills


Problem Solving Skills: Resourcefulness; excellent problem solving skills with the ability to provide easily understood solutions


Physical, Mental and Visual Skills:  Ability to read, write, type; sitting and standing for long periods of time up to 8 hours per day


Physical Environment:  Normal office environment; potential of exposure to moving equipment, if proper safety procedures are not followed


Travel: Ability to travel up to 10% of the time


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:


This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager.
