Summary


The Accounting Clerk performs a variety of administrative, bookkeeping and accounting assignments to assist in maintaining the general ledger, subsidiary ledgers or other fiscal records for the Finance Department according to generally accepted accounting procedures. Responsibilities may include filing, mail, data entry, state billing submissions, and other general accounting processes to assist in billing and performance analysis.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Perform related duties as required
  • Prepares annually the Service Delivery Reports for programs and updates as contracts change.
  • Code payments for Service Fee and Rent payments to be submitted to AR Specialist.
  • The collection of backup to assist in monthly cost based billing.
  • Assist other members of the Finance Department as required
  • Assist in the State monthly billing process after appropriate training.
  • Updates and maintains monthly Program files to include performance stats, absences, vacancy's, contract performance, etc.
  • Assist in the monthly Service Fee and Rent Invoicing distribution.


Required Education/Experience


  • Required: Associate Degree
  • Preferred: Two years college with courses in accounting, business or equivalent experience.

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills essential
