Job Description
SUMMARY This individual is responsible for p erforming a range of general clerical, accounting and bookkeeping support functions for all Graystone Ophthalmology entities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Provides day-to-day financial & accounting support using an advanced knowledge of Excel skills and analysis and other necessary Accounting software ; Process accounts payable invoices and payments Process daily cash reconciliations Maintain general ledger for all real estate entities including but not limited to: Process deposits and payments Reconcile bank statements Reconcile general ledger expenses Calculate quarterly distributions for shareholders Perform routine inventory for intravitreal injection drugs and reconcile to reports Provide data entry for critical measure reporting for the physicians, the practice, and the surgery center Process refunds for patients/insurance payers Performs clerical functions incidental to accounting activities; Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individuals must have knowledge of accounting principles, excellent communication and organizational skills, proficient on most software applications and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily .

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Two year degree in Accounting or more than 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before executive levels of the organization and board of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, and graphs) in its most difficult phases.
Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
