A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ACCOUNTING CLERK
Each day, our route drivers pick up raw materials and then our plant processes them into finished goods. One of the many jobs of the accounting clerk is to keep track of everything that comes into the facility as well as what gets shipped out. You need to have a good head for accuracy and be detail-oriented. Everything needs to balance out to the exact pound daily. You'll also answer phones, take customer pick up orders, bill for services, call to collect on balances, code accounts payable and communicate with other locations and departments via scanning and email.
To thrive in this position, you'll need to be comfortable with technology and have a good command of Microsoft Outlook and Excel. We also use Oracle E-Business Suite to connect us to our customer base, use Microsoft Teams to communicate internally and externally, and a handful of other tools to keep us all connected and efficient.
Minimum Qualifications For An Accounting Clerk

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must either have 2 years of work experience using Outlook and Excel or have successfully completed coursework for these programs.

In addition, you need to be able to do the following:

• Frequently lift up to 10 lbs.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Use solid customer service skills.
