Job Description

Title: Accounting Assistant
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Comptroller
Requirements
  • Takes direction from CEO, Partners & Comptroller.
  • Maintains scheduled attendance.
  • Must keep confidential information confidential.
  • Gets along with the Administrator, patients and peers. Is courteous, understanding and sympathetic toward patients, physicians and others.
  • Versatile and willing to coordinate with and participate in, when necessary, all other aspects of the Office.
  • Gets all other work/projects done in a timely manner or by its deadline.
  • Has ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other staff members.
  • Possesses strong initiative to get daily work finished and processed.
Duties And Responsibilities
Manage Properties for Partners
  • Responsible for Sales & Use taxes on a monthly basis
  • Responsible for providing financial reports to Partners on a monthly basis
  • Responsible for collection rents and depositing on a monthly basis
  • Responsible for Bank Reconciliations
  • Responsible for Property insurance renewals
  • Responsible for Partner Distributions on a monthly basis
  • Accounts Payables/Receivables
  • Bank Runs
  • Maintains Vendors in all entities
  • Performs all other duties assigned by the Billing Office Supervisor or Administrator.
  • Record Journal entries & deposits into Accounting Software

WORKING CONDITIONS (PHYSICAL)
  • Extensive pulling, pushing, bending, and lifting. Lifting may require an employee to lift occasionally over 10 lbs. and at times over 25 lbs.
  • Sitting, standing, and walking a considerable amount of time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Cooperative work attitude toward and with co-employees, management, patients, visitors and physicians.
  • Human relations skills to deal effectively with patients and peers in person and on the telephone.
  • Legible handwriting with appropriate level of spelling and grammar skills.
  • Communicate fluently in English.
EDUCATION:
Basic Accounting I, II, III experience
