Position Summary:
The Accountant reconciles and adjusts various general ledger accounts. Will also perform moderately complex analysis of performance results. The Accountant compiles, consolidates, and analyzes accounting and finance information for the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares monthly commission calculations.
- Files monthly and quarterly state tax reports
- Monitors bank account for ACH transactions. Initiates and record ACH and wire payments and processes check runs.
- Manages AFE follow up/fixed asset reconciliations and physical inventories.
- Assists with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and reports on variances.
- Prepares the monthly metrics report for the Group President.
- Assists with the annual internal audit.
- Completes other duties and projects as assigned.
- Processes expense reports.
- Processes OneStream upload and flow forms.
- Provides reports as needed when requested by leadership and Marmon corporate finance.
- Analyzes revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis.
- Generates and distributes 1099s.
- Prepares and distributes the daily sales report.
- Prepares journal entries and performs monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations and uploads this information to the corporate database.
- Complies with leverage spend initiatives.
- Posts Accounts Payable.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and individuals, with a willingness to provide hands-on input.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
