Bremer Bank is seeking an Accountant to fulfill daily investment accounting, book month-end close entries, perform account reconciliation and analysis, and use accounting principles, practices and procedures to deliver accurate and timely financial reports. This position must meet tight deadlines and complete a multitude of investment accounting activities including transaction processing and cash reconciliation.
Qualifications:

• 1 - 3 years of experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work under deadlines
• Good project management skills
• Strong computer skills
• Demonstrated problem solving ability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organization skills

Essential responsibilities:

• Assist with regulatory filings
• Prepare daily/monthly account reconciliations
• Record daily treasury transactions
• Assist with month-end close process including preparing journal entries
• Ensure accounting process desk procedures are documented and updated, as necessary
• Review and record investment securities transactions
• Review and update internal controls as needed and ensure compliance when completing assigned duties
• Perform other tasks as assigned
• Complete audit requests as needed
• Assist with the preparation of annual audited financial statements and quarterly board packages
