- Respond to inquiries from customers providing quality and accurate responses managing and resolving resident needs
- Supporting residents while ensuring collection policies and procedures to avoid excessive outstanding credit, are being adhered to
- Ensuring that the company policy on recoveries is followed and that it is in line with state and federal regulations
- Creating and implementing a strategy to improve the collection of outstanding credit
- Research required information using multiple systems and resources
- Remaining informed of any legislative procedural training regarding debt collection
- Assisting residents with invoicing and payment collection
- Ensuring the accurate and timely invoicing of customers
- Negotiating with customers in cases when non-payment occurs
- The ability to work accurately and independently
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Experience with accounting software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong time and people management skills
- Outstanding leadership and managerial skills
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Excellent analytical skills and an eye for detail
- 3–5 years’ experience as a collector or similar role
- Good verbal and written communication skills
