Account Manager

Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill Area


If you would like to grow your career and our client’s revenue as an Account Manager, this may be the opportunity for you. This is a UK, global, staffing company who has just expanded to the Raleigh/Durham market. This client is known for their fun and professional team culture. The focus of this staffing company falls within the realm of life science, pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotech but they are open to an engineer or IT sales background also. A successful candidate will need at least one year of experience within the recruiting/staffing field.


What Will You Be Doing?

Do you prefer a client facing, consultative role, to expand and grow active client relationships? This role is perfect for someone with previous recruiting or staffing experience, or for someone who did full-desk (360) recruiting. We are looking for an Account Manager, to help us grow and expand our existing clients and accounts, where we have had success in Europe and global markets, now build out client relationships in the US. You will also:

  • Present clients with top resources available to meet their needs, coordinate interviews and feedback, negotiate decisions, and offers to fill open requirements.
  • Manage and grow your customer base over time.
  • Increase sales, by developing strong relationships with key active customers, and understanding customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with the recruiting team to identify and allocate the best available talent to fill open requirements.
  • Identify, qualify, and formulate client needs into resource requirements.


What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • Self-motivated and metrics driven with an outgoing personality.
  • At least one year of staffing/recruiting experience.
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years work experience within the related fields of Account Management, Business Development, Inside/Outside Sales, Product Sales, Customer Success, Services Sales, etc.
  • Successful track record of engaging new prospects via high-volume outbound prospecting as well as at in-person networking events.
  • Demonstrated success opening new customer accounts and developing long-term customer relationships.
  • Ability to deliver our company story in an engaging, articulate fashion, both in-person and virtually to customers
  • Superior interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong sense of urgency, grit, resilience, and desire to achieve.


Preferred Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Record of success in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, engineer, and/or IT sales.
  • At least one year’s experience in the staffing/recruiting field.

*This is a 50/50 salary/commission compensation structure. The base salary range is 60-75K and the candidate would expect to double that with commission (50/50) during the first year of employment. So, a $70,000 base salary would be a $140,000 total. Room for growth and an uncapped commission opportunity.
