Your opportunity
  • Serve as a primarily internal relationship manager, responding to client inquiries and requests across diverse client base and assisting in the delivery and fulfillment of required reporting, regulatory, and due-diligence needs
  • Carry out other duties as assigned
  • Maintain awareness of competitive client, company and industry trends to provide technical information and general support to clients
  • Typically serve as the main point of contact for Insurance and Retirement Group client internal sales desks in regard to relationship management, support and servicing, and including but not limited to coordination of campaigns and liaising with Janus Henderson internal sales desk
  • Provide administrative/sales support of larger, more complex clients and over time, the overall relationship of smaller assigned accounts
  • Coordinate sales, marketing, and support services materials for broad array of client presentations, briefings, and due-diligence reviews
  • Liaise with other areas of Janus Henderson, including, but not limited to, Investments, Distribution, Legal, Marketing, Analytics & Strategy, Operations and Compliance as it relates to new client acquisition, onboarding and ongoing client service needs
  • Under direction of lead relationship managers, assist with the coordination and implementation of customized client sales and servicing strategies
  • Assist with the development and growth of our US Insurance and Retirement business and client-set
  • Articulate investment process, products and vehicles to clients and prospects

Must have skills

  • Ability to forge respect- and trust-based relationships up, down and across a complex, constantly evolving global financial services organization
  • Comfort with approximately 20% business travel
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field (or equivalent experience) required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the financial services industry such as ’40 Act investment vehicles, sub-advisory investment, management, VITs, CITs, fee structures, distribution models and defined contribution retirement plans
  • 5 years’ field sales, client support or equivalent experience in the mutual fund/asset management industry required with 2 years’ experience in the variable insurance or retirement industry
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses required
  • Strong investment knowledge with an ability to interpret and present performance, risk, and attribution data
  • Results-orientated with a strong ability to execute against strategic objectives and competing priorities

Nice to have skills

  • CFA, CIMA, CAIA, AIF or equivalent industry designation(s) a positive
  • Strong interpersonal/communication, negotiation, consensus-building and public presentation skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects with limited mentorship and oversight
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and problem-solve across business units and client types
  • Knowledge of, and proficiency with, CRM systems and general client relationship servicing processes and practices
  • Willingness to approach business challenges with an entrepreneurial perspective and passion

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
