Accelerate U Teacher Jobs

Please note that applicants will be reviewed and will be filled on a continuing basis based on program needs

Remote; Asynchronous online learning program

$245.00 per student completion of a 20-to-24-week online course. If the student withdraws prior to completion, the teacher will be compensated at a daily rate of $1.45. Teachers will be compensated in the month following course completion or withdrawal.

Teachers Are Expected To

• Provide students with a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to teaching and learning.
• Record and report student progress.
• Provide a minimum of one (1) synchronous office hour per week, available to student(s) for calls, meetings (virtual) as provided in the AccelerateU handbook.
• Provide resources to meet student learning needs.
• Ability to work with a diverse population of students
• Communicate regularly and effectively with all stakeholders.

Job Qualifications

Candidate must have:

• Current NYSED certification in content area
• Documented five (5) years teaching experience
• Evidence of responsiveness to students and all other stakeholders
• Evidence of proficiency with computer technology

Candidates Should Possess a Broad Skill Set Of Effective Teaching And Learning To Engage Learners Of All Levels, Including But Not Limited To

• Promoting equity and culturally responsive practices to create inclusive environments
• Knowledge of the NYS Learning Standards and Assessments
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of curriculum content and accepted methods of instruction
