Job Description

Our Academy Team Coaches need to have a strong knowledge base of the game of soccer and understand the fundamentals of communicated those principles to youth. Our teams train year-round and compete in games and regionally-based tournaments in the state of North Carolina. Coaching staff operate within a team of coaches guided by our Director of Academy Coaching and compete to promote winning teams and tournament champions. We are members of the NCYSA.


Responsibilities


Coaches are responsible for 2-3 training sessions per week in season with season being Fall, August-November and Spring, February through May. Academy coaches will utilize the club provided software to communicate and schedule team practices and games as well as player evaluations bi-annually. Some travel is involved for games and tournaments within 1-2 hours of the Village of Pinehurst, NC.


The team coach needs to deliver a fun, challenging and competitive learning environment for all players. Coaches need to arrive early and be prepared for all team training sessions and games, and ensure a positive development centered environment.


Qualifications


  • Previous soccer playing and/or coaching experience preferred
  • Requires background check upon offer
  • Ability to interact positively with youth soccer players, parents, referees and other staff
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong knowledge of the game of soccer
