Path to College Fellowship Program is recruiting for an Academic Program Manager to help run our academic enrichment programs in the implementation of our organization’s mission:

To enrich the academic growth and increase the competitiveness of low-income, high-achieving students in college admissions.


This is a full-time (40 hrs/wk) position. On-call and the ability to work a flexible schedule is required.


The Academic Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing the STEM-focused academic and college access program for the nonprofit organization. The successful candidate will be an experienced STEM educator with a passion for helping low-income students achieve academic success and gain admission to top-tier colleges with STEM pathways focus.


The Duties and Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Assists Director of Programs with general program management.
  • Develop and implement effective assessment and evaluation systems to monitor student progress.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive elite college access academic program and curriculum that emphasizes STEM career pathway exploration.
  • Assists in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of students and college coaches.
  • Assists in the development and analysis of data collection methods to report and monitor program activities and determine if activities provided are meeting program objectives.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with schools, colleges, and other organizations to support program goals.
  • Monitors program and student compliance to all company policies and procedures and all regulatory standards.
  • Monitor program budgets and ensure financial sustainability.
  • Supervises, trains, mentors and oversees coaches, instructors and tutors to ensure high-quality program delivery.


Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working with low-income students and/or in a nonprofit organization preferred.
  • Be able to travel to trainings/meetings upon request of the program director.
  • A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings, and meetings.
  • To be successful in this position you must have strong leadership and communication skills; the ability to multitask while providing supervision and guidance to students and program staff; and the ability to provide support and advice as needed.
  • Submit to and pass a Level 2 background check.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Bachelor's or Master's in a related field
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Experience developing and implementing STEM curriculum and assessment systems.
