Taylor Corporation is seeking a 2nd Shift Equipment Operator to work at our Hutchins, TX location. The position is responsible for setting up and operating equipment to assemble, glue, fold and cut multi part business forms and other duties as assigned.
Your Shift:
  • Monday – Friday; 3:00pm -11:00pm and overtime as needed
Your Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and prepare for the next user
  • Perform change overs and collator set up according to work instructions.
  • Produce product to specifications by following all processes and procedures
  • Prepare, operate, and adjust assigned machinery to specifications per customer work order
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately to include maintaining maintenance and communication logs.

Requirements within this position:
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
  • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry).
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility.
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
You Must Have:
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow specific job specifications
  • Basic math skills to read ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization
  • Self-motivation and comfortable working with a sense of urgency and attention to detail to ensure customer orders are completed without errors.
  • Ability to learn print press equipment. Company will provide training, but must be somewhat mechanically inclined to be successful
We Would Also Prefer:
  • Ability to learn print press equipment
  • Previous experience working in a production/manufacturing environment is helpful. This includes, but is not limited to: production jobs, assembly line workers and light mechanical workers
