Akkodis is seeking a Business Analyst with our thriving Fortune 500 financial services client. This position is intended to be 80-90% remote, but will require some travel to client sites in PA and NJ.
Target Rate Range: $60-75/hr W2
Job Summary:
- Provides business systems analysis for internal or client-facing projects to the Business Systems Analyst job family.
- Conducts software quality assurance/testing to the Software Quality Analyst job family.
- Provides product support to the Product Support Representative job family.
- Assists management to resolve business issues in an effective and productive manner.
- Conducts various types of research and analysis to support the business operations to an internal business segment, division, group or line of business.
- Designs, documents and re-engineers business processes and publishes business metrics results.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assisting client in configuring the system for new products or product changes
- Clearly identify, separate, and communicate production issues which are enhancements and which are bugs by working directly with the proper development resources.
- Working with Clients to analyze the clients business and technical requirements
- Participate in internal design sessions for new client customizations.
- Handle multiple issues and the dynamics of reprioritization due to evolving production critical issues.
- Performs analyses of the business goals, objectives, and needs of the general business environment for the appropriate segment, division, group or line of business.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans based on business requirements and logical design specifications.
- Performs research and analysis to support business operations and presents findings to manager or project leader.
- May train internal employees on changes to business practices, processes or procedures.
- Plans and designs business processes and make recommendations and changes in order to improve and support business systems and activities and/or to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency.
- Assist with client presentations and sales initiatives as applicable
- Documenting the clients requirements in appropriately formatted business specifications
- Utilizes systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner.
- Analyzes and documents business processes and metrics, and identifies improvement opportunities.
- Promptly communicate project status to Project Manager
- Performs other related duties as required.
Ideal Candidate:
- The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years proven track record in financial services software implementations, strong interpersonal and communications skills, demonstrated team building, leadership and the ability to manage multiple complex engagements concurrently. Previous experience working on the FIS Policy Administration Suite (a.k.a. Compass)
Job Requirements:
- The ability to modify working hours to accommodate Clients in different time zones (early starts or late evenings).
- Understanding of the Software Systems Development Lifecycle including Agile and Waterfall approaches
- Experience with Relational Database Management Systems) concepts
- Previous experience working on the FIS Policy Administration Suite (a.k.a. Compass)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
- Knowledge of SQL (a plus)
- Detailed business understanding of the insurance/investments/wealth/pension space
- Minimum of 10 years business analysis experience in a large-scale financial and/or insurance/investments/wealth/pension system development environment. (software vendor or at a client)
- The capacity to travel to client sites as requested by the client. Roughly 80-90% remote.
- Knowledge of back-end Policy Administration Systems (a plus)
