Waste Management Driver Helper Jobs

Maintains cleanliness of autoclaves, loading dock, and Waste Management Center.

Performs recycling program functions according to the Waste Management Program.

High school graduate or equivalent with 2 years of demonstrated work experience required.

Must be knowledgeable in the types of waste materials for proper autoclaving and recycling.

Responsible for the proper handling and disposition of all Medical Center discards.

Keeps autoclaves operating at required temperature and pressure.

Experience from the sanitation industry is strongly preferred

Transfer refuse in a timely and safe manner from customer stops to vehicle.

Assist the driver while maneuvering into positions for collection and disposal

Maintain and partake in daily clean-up of vehicle

Learn garbage routes to better assist driver

Attend all required training, operational meetings, and mandatory monthly Safety Meetings

1 Year verifiable CDL experience required

Experience from the sanitation industry is strongly preferred

Monday thru Friday with occasional Saturday work

Early start time - 5am-6am

Hourly pay $24.43 with overtime pay

This is a delivery helper position

Unload product off truck or trailer at all customer locations.

Responsible for the cleanliness of the truck, that it is workable, and neat, and the load is secure at all times.

Sweep pallets and empty/clean the trailer and cab at end of the day.

Able to lift up to 80 pounds

Must be able to frequently walk up/down stairs

Radioactive waste management experience at a DOE site.

Develop peer-reviewed waste management calculations and technical position papers.

Develop waste management procedures and spreadsheet application tools.

Support external and internal audits and assessments of the waste management program.

May guide and mentor assistant staff members performing Waste Management Specialist functions.

Experience with the review and application of laboratory analysis to characterize the radioactive and chemical constituents of waste.
