Driver Helper Jobs

Delco Foods, an Indianapolis-based specialty food distributor established in 1956, is seeking a Driver Helper. This position will assist in the safe and timely unloading and delivery of products and materials to customers, providing courteous, prompt, and professional customer service. The Driver Helper will have a 4-day work schedule with the expectancy of 45-50 hours per week. There are no weekend hours required for this role.
There is the potential to train for your CDL A, and once obtained there will be a salary increase.
Qualifications:

• Responsible for the cleanliness of the truck, that it is workable, and neat, and the load is secure at all times.
• Assist the driver to deliver the company's product in a professional manner.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Sweep pallets and empty/clean the trailer and cab at end of the day.
• Unload product off truck or trailer at all customer locations.

Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 80 pounds
• Must be able to frequently walk up/down stairs
• Loading/unloading
• May be exposed to varying temperatures and seasonal climate conditions due to exposure external to the tractor-trailer.
• Must adhere to all safety guidelines and policies set forth by the company.
