Bachelor's degree in Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Engineering or Management required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

Manages flight test personnel at the flight test sites and remotely

Test pilot qualification or equivalent test experience on unmanned systems

Manages flight test engineers, ground crew and test crew

Reviews System Requirement documents to help ensure requirements are concise and testable

Ensure flight operations related safety issues and hazards are reported to the Chief Pilot via the Safety Management System

Participate in ensuring that all government, industry and company safety and operational requirements are met

Ensure aircraft, weather, flight plan, departure airport facilities, at departure, in route and at destination, meet operational requirements

Attend regularly scheduled ground and simulator training, maintaining flight proficiency and knowledge of all flight operations, regulations and aircraft systems

Maintain current required licenses and certificates to comply with company, ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization), as applicable, and FAA requirements

3,000 hours of total logged flight experience

Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Preferred qualifications for the Pilot position areas (see note * below):

Assist Chief Pilot in updating and maintaining accurate aircraft pilot flight records and aircraft Flight Logs

Assist Chief Pilot in coordinating Company aircraft flight schedule with Assistant to CEO/Assistant Corporate Secretary

Assist Chief Pilot in obtaining and maintaining current flight planning materials, emergency procedures manuals, aircraft operational manuals and FAA regulations

Assist Chief Pilot in maintaining aircraft support subscriptions

ATP rating in category meets this requirement

Operates Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.

Final authority with regard to operations of aircraft and for the safety of passengers, cargo and equipment.

Responsible for completion of required documentation.

Able to conduct detailed flight planning with little notice to exacting standards.

Participates regularly in Air Methods meetings, activities, projects, committees and community outreach.

ATP rating in category also meets the above requirement.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities Include The Following

Operates Air Methods’ aircraft in a safe and legal manner.

Pilots must have flown in category for a commercial operator, or in the military, within the previous 24 months

Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals and the public. Strives to maintain a friendly and professional working environment.

2500 total flight hours with minimum of 2000 flight hours in category.

Resumes must include information regarding pilot certificates and ratings, total flight time, and educational background.

Holds at least a commercial pilot certificate, and

Completed military flight and applicable training courses as required IAW 95-20. Must meet the qualification requirements of AR 95-20.

Performs maintenance trend analysis and applies production control, quality control and other maintenance management principles and procedures to aircraft maintenance operations.

Minimum of Ten (10) years of aviation maintenance experience required.

Deploy when required to support contract requirements when maintenance test flights are anticipated.

Must have demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written. Must be fluent in the English language.

Working knowledge for operating navigational and communication equipment installed on the aircraft.

Consults directly with company engineering and senior management as subject matter expert in developing company product line of aircraft.

Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on teamwork and verbal and written communication.

Strong knowledge of computer applications and operations pertinent to the position.

Preferred: Previous experience including Predator, UAV and/or Military aviator or military aviation. FAA instructor rating (CFI) and (CFII) in manned aircraft.

Perform as Experimental Test and Evaluation Pilot.

Perform as Instructor Test Pilot and company Flight Examiner.

Ability to complete the knowledge and skills tests for each

Experience working in a multidisciplinary team (Multimedia Developers, Quality Assurance, Instructions System Designers, Subject Matter Experts, Instructors)

Effective oral and written communications skills

Working knowledge of the FAAO JO 7110.65 is strongly desired, but not required

Basic familiarization or experience with pilot/controller communications or phraseology

Ensure correct weight and balance and fuel supply

Conduct briefings with crew members and non-crew members on safety and emergency procedures required by the TSC or others

FAA Part 121 Line Experience, preferred

Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate

Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate

FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit (or greater)

Total Flight Time 2500 minimum, 3000+ preferred

Boeing 737NG Type Rating, preferred

LiDAR and or general remote sensing understanding/experience

Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of all equipment and vehicles in the Remote Sensing fleet.

Ability to carry equipment and supplies in remote, rural or urban surroundings

200+ verifiable hours of commercial flight systems experience.

3+ years experience with professional level sUAS systems and project support.

5-8 years in remote sensing technologies.

Detailed knowledge of computer operations and applications.

Determines compliance with specification and operational suitability during engineering tests and flight test/demonstration support through specifically prescribed tests and maneuvers.

Defines, plans, organizes, and executes flight plans and schedules.

Ensures compliance with service guidance, company policy and procedures and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.

Performs as Pilot-in-Command of Company Unmanned Air Vehicles.

Performs other duties as assigned or required.
