They must also be able to work well under pressure and be able to remain calm in stressful situations. Job Qualifications Operating Room Techs must have a high school diploma or equivalent. They must also have completed a formal training program in operating room technology. Job Knowledge Operating Room Techs must have a thorough knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques, as well as a thorough understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body.
