Manager Nursing Informatics Ex Jobs

Designs, directs, implements and evaluates educational offerings based on knowledge, skills and learning levels of nursing staff.

Demonstrated knowledge of education methodology such as needs assessment, curriculum development, instructional design and principles of adult learning.

Develops and utilizes appropriate evaluation systems to determine the effectiveness of educational activities.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Minimum two years recent nursing experience required with demonstrated clinical expertise to include clinical nursing experience, preceptor, BCLS or ACLS instructor.

Identifies learning needs and desires of nursing personnel.

BENCHMARKS - Provide baseline and benchmark information to identify and prioritize processes for clinical process improvement and disease management

TRENDS - Demonstrate current knowledge and remain competitive in new software programs, database design, networking and general industry trends

POLICIES - Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and procedures related to excellence initiatives.

PROCESS MEASUREMENT - Identify key processes and determines the most effective way of measuring these processes

BENCHMARKING - Coordinate Hospitals participation in external benchmarking activities

RESEARCH - Research, coordinate and assist in the development, dissemination and implementation of program initiatives

Establish and maintain the Department’s account management procedures

Manage educational program budgets including:

Ensure a process is in place to comply with UW records management directives, storage and destruction

Respond to and assist in needs/requirements for staff training

Identify core competencies and job responsibilities specific to staff positions and create clear position descriptions and expectations

Communicate planning factors to the faculty and staff to integrate activities with requirements or emerging trends

Work experience in an educational, training institute, or procurement office, highly desired

Three years of experience in a related field

Strong organizational skills and the ability to meets deadlines

Effective oral and written communication skills

Maintain a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of the office and staff.

Work independently on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts and other presentation materials.

Minimum of one (1) years of management experience.

Bachelors degree or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience in lieu of the degree.

Minimum of three (3) years experience

Oversee a department of nurses, ensuring everyone has what they need to deliver the best care possible to our patients.

Monitor attendance among nursing staff, watching for any patterns of missed shifts which may need addressing.

Monitor productivity and efficiency of your department, including budgets. We want to achieve the best throughput while never compromising on care.

Project Management Manages project activities, resources, and information in support of the Informatics program.

Performance Metrics Establishes and maintains performance metrics for management of the business area.

Project Coordination Participate in facility and corporate committees and/or projects as clinical informatics expert.

Strategy Alignment Ensures the department is aligned with strategies for all the assigned areas of the business.

Department Objectives Establishes department objectives by analyzing business plan and collaborating with Business Partners and IS Leadership.

5 years Nursing/Patient Care Required

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or related health care field preferred

Master’s Degree in a related health care field an asset, but not required

Current Arizona License as a Registered Nurse
